Nex-Tech's partnership with the KSBBBS program helps to support "Littles" who are matched with "Bigs" in Ellis, Norton, Russell and Trego Counties.

Nex-Tech is pleased to announce Jacob Lindenman, Landon Dinkel, and Adson Day as $1,500 recipients of the national WTA Advocates for Rural Broadband Foundation scholarship program. WTA awarded 14 scholarships totaling $20,000 recognizing academic achievement, integrity and commitment to education.

A successful Annual Meeting of the Membership was held on April 23. A major focus of my report was culture, which is such an important part of who we are as an organization and why we strive to be better every day for our customers, and also to enjoy where we work. 

YNAB stands for "you need a budget." This app is free for college students and is a great way to get them started on the right foot when handling their own finances.

Did you get any new devices during the holidays (maybe a new tablet or an extra Fire Stick for the patio TV)? Let's face it. We all have more devices than ever, and we are using them in more places than ever. More types of services are delivered through the Internet, which requires more bandwidth, and we want to use them in more areas of our homes. We just want so much more!

I recently attended an IT conference, and I am sad to say this was the first of its kind for me. With the reality that Nex-Tech is in the “Technology” business, I realized I was not where I needed to be with understanding the vital needs of advanced IT support and cybersecurity in today’s business. To be fair, I have had the luxury of leaning on our talented staff and our Chief Operating Officer, Mike Pollock, to understand how this is important to our company, as well as our customers.
