Think about how often you’re in a conference room, fumbling with cords, trying to get a projector to work. You plug the cable into your laptop, wait, hope that the PowerPoint you want to show will display correctly. Or, you search for a dongle so that the VGA cord will fit your Mini HDMI display port. Or. Or. Or. There are 10 or 20 different scenarios and you’ve likely experienced them all. Heaven forbid if more than one person needs to plug in a laptop. Then the scene plays out all over again.
In my quarterly meeting, we waste between 40 and 50 minutes getting laptops to display correctly because 8 different folks routinely present information. That’s almost an hour of time we could spend working productively or sharing other information.

Pro WiDi is available in 5th generation Intel® Core™ vPro processors and I have already seen the ways it is helping transform work. The technology enables companies to wirelessly connect to projectors and displays via a WiFi Direct connection (not through their networks), while also delivering the security, flexibility, and configuration capabilities not found in consumer solutions.
