Facebook Live (FB Live) is one of the most effective ways to “beat the algorithm” and gain more exposure in public newsfeeds. Not only is it free and easy to use, but with the right strategy, it can drive sales and increase your bottom line. Here are 3 easy ways to use FB Live to strengthen your social media presence.

NEW PRODUCT/SERVICE LAUNCHES

FB Live is a unique way to engage a new audience and maintain brand consistency with those who consume information over multiple marketing platforms.

Set the stage for a live announcement by creating an event on Facebook with the date and time your announcement will occur. Once customers have RSVP’d as “Going” or “Interested,” Facebook sends them reminders about the event and shares the event with friends who might also be interested. Build curiosity through teaser posts such as “Huge Announcement on Friday!” By using FB Live, you can reach thousands of people for free and host a live Q&A session immediately following the announcement.

Contests and giveaways have become increasingly popular among all social media sites. Typically, when a winner is selected a post is created announcing who the winner is by tagging them and sharing what they have won. This often leaves participants feeling doubtful about how and why that winner was selected. By using FB Live, you can randomly select a winner in front of a live audience.

First, place all of the entries in a fishbowl. Once you go live, draw out 10 names and tag those people in the comments. As they join the live video, say a few words about your business and ask them to share the post so more people see the video in their newsfeed. Next, draw 5 names out of the fishbowl. Then draw down to 2 names and finally, just 1. Now you can announce them as your winner.
